Which programs transfer where — and at what ratio
All transfers below are one-way — from the bank program to the airline or hotel program. Most occur at 1:1 ratio (1 bank point = 1 airline mile or hotel point). Hotel programs typically have lower point valuations, so a 1:2 ratio (e.g., Amex → Hilton) does not necessarily mean better value than a 1:1 airline transfer. Transfers are generally irreversible — confirm your redemption before transferring.
